With hundreds of hours of classes available – and more added each month – you’ll find high-level content from every imaginable topic.
What hours is Trading U available?
There are hundreds of lessons, lectures and classes available on-demand 24/7. You just click the subject that has the most interest to you and start learning. Even the live classes that are held twice each month are archived and made available the next day. The dates of the live classes are announced at least a month ahead.
Who are the instructors?
You’ll find recordings from every member of the Wealth Builders HQ staff, who will teach their particular area of expertise. For example, Rob Roy will teach Fibonacci analysis and candidate identification. Brandon Wendell will teach futures and $SPX trading. Tony Benson will teach pattern identification and trading with a small account. Tripp Sawyer will teach non-directional trading.
Are there any live classes, or are they all recorded?
Robert Roy and Tony “The Pattern Whisperer” Benson each teach one live one-hour class per month. These classes generally meet on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET, but may change from time to time. The live training classes are also archived and placed in the member’s area. The most recent 4 monthly trainings will be kept on the main members area, and older videos are transferred to The Vault.
What is the "Success Path?"
The Success Path is the starting point for any trader who aspires to make money in the market. The Success Path is a specially-curated series of classes and training sthat build upon each other that will guide you on your trading journey. It covers basics and fundamentals for trading stocks and options, as well as technical indicators, directional and non-directional trading. The goal is to produce a well-rounded trader capable of making money in the market upon completion.
What are the “Foundational” classes?
The company’s top coaches recorded a fresh series of 25 classes – covering nearly 24 hours of training – on topics like mindset, stock basics, technical indicators, options and selling systems. Most of these Foundational classes are included within the Success Path. Hearing these subjects taught by experienced market voices bring out aspects of trading you never knew about or have not considered.
What is “The Vault” and why is it helpful?
“The Vault” is an area of Trading U that contains hundreds of hours of recorded classes. There are classes that teach a variety of subjects – essential skills, futures, patterns, technical analysis, trade setups and mindset. Available research data suggests that most traders are NOT profitable.
In a research paper published in 2014 titled “Do Day Traders Rationally Learn About Their Ability?”, professors from the University of California studied 3.7 billion trades from the Taiwan Stock Exchange between 1992-2006 and found that only 9.81% of day trading volume was generated by predictably profitable traders and that these predictably profitable traders constitute less than 3% of all day traders on an average day.
In a 2005 article published in the Journal of Applied Finance titled “The Profitability of Active Stock Traders” professors at the University of Oxford and the University College Dublin found that out of 1,146 brokerage accounts day trading the U.S. markets between March 8, 2000 and June 13, 2000, only 50% were profitable with an average net profit of $16,619.
In a 2003 article published in the Financial Analysts Journal titled “The Profitability of Day Traders”, professors at the University of Texas found that out of 334 brokerage accounts day trading the U.S. markets between February 1998 and October 1999, only 35% were profitable and only 14% generated profits in excess of $10,000.
The range of results in these three studies exemplify the challenge of determining a definitive success rate for day traders. At a minimum, these studies indicate at least 50% of aspiring day traders will not be profitable. This reiterates that consistently making money trading stocks is not easy. Day Trading is a high risk activity and can result in the loss of your entire investment. Any trade or investment is at your own risk.
